Hoyt Park Has Something for Everyone
For the nature lovers, a mature prairie and a mix of old growth and young growth vegetation. For history buffs, 14 fireplaces built by Italian stone masons from the Greenbush as part of the WPA. For hikers and dog walkers, trails that wind along the old quarry face and through the varied landscapes. For families and kids, picnic areas, basketball courts, a playground, and a large, grassy lawn perfect for soccer or frisbee.

Friends of Hoyt Park is an all volunteer organization that has been active for 28 years. In a time of tight City budgets, our work protects the Park’s natural areas, increases sustainability, and improves the amenities for everyone using the Park.
